2.03pm: Right, that's all from us here. Join us in six hours time for Australia vs Namibia and Nepal vs Sri Lanka!

2.01pm Here are the captains, starting with Canada's Saad Bin Zafar is up first: "Definitely, it was a bit disappointing. We wanted to play a positive brand of cricket and I think the wicket was not very helpful. It was difficult to bat early on - not a good toss to lose. We were about 25 to 30 runs short."

And here's Pakistan skipper Babar Azam: "Good for us, we need this win. We started well with the bowling, in the first six overs we know we had to be up to the mark. [On winning quicker to go level with USA's NRR] It was in our mind, to win before 14 overs but the pitch made it difficult. [On getting angry when getting out] Because I'm out with the same shot twice (against India)! This is my shot but sometimes you need success. I'll try my best."

1.52pm: Mohammad Amir is player of the match for his 2 for 13: "As a bowler you have to adopt the conditions, what the conditions are demanding. My role is very clear, what I'm going to do with the new ball and at the death. That's why I'm getting that success. [On Pakistan getting off the mark] That was a very important win. One more, who knows..."

1.49pm: Dil Dil Pakistan blaring around the ground, though not quite sure that was a performance warranting of the tune, regardless of how overplayed it is. They are still alive. That match against Ireland in Florida on June 16 could be a decider - unless the weather doesn't improve...

Gordon to Usman Khan, 2 runs

There it is - Pakistan finally get the job done... Slower ball worked out to that profitable midwicket region to huge cheers from the stands. Babar Azam's side are finally up and running after two defeats, winning this one by seven wickets.

Short, over the shoulder of Usman Khan who decides not to hook. Wided

Gordon to Zaman, OUT

Full, larruped into the off side... and caught! Fakhar takes his turn to finish this one off, but ends up scything the ball high rather than far, taken excellently by subfielder Bajwa running back to cover from point

Gordon to finish his set, about 7 overs too late...

Heyliger to Rizwan, 3 runs

Moves wide of the crease, tucked to the leg side... and they end up nabbing three! The fielder running in forgets to collect and has to go back. That's 52 from as many deliveries for Rizwan, who salutes the crowd. It's the slowest fifty by a Pakistan men's batter in all T20 internationals...

Heyliger to Zaman, 1 run

Fuller, wide, slapped out to deep cover to bring up the Pakistan 100. Just three fours and two sixes... but they're winning I suppose

Short, this one bouncing up as expected, pulled across the like to deep square leg

Heyliger to Zaman, 1 run

Full, across the left-hander who slices this one-handed out to deep point

16.2
Heyliger to Zaman, no run

Swing and a miss! Fakhar tries to boom one into the leg side but you can't trust the bounce off a length on here, and this one goes under the bat

Like many people in the comments, Waqar Younis is imploring Pakistan to get this done quickly

Another googly, on a length, Fakhar plays late and dabs a single into cover

Junaid to Rizwan, 1 run

Looped outside off again, tip and run to the covers has the Canadian ring fielders scampering in vain

Loopy googly outside off, played off the pitch to third, who is up in the circle

Pushes into midwicket - first run hard, likewise the second, as Fakhar commits early to coming back

Junaid to Rizwan, SIX runs

Excellent shot! Because it wasn't a particularly well-constructed lead-up to the shot. Rizwan skipped down, wasn't to the pitch of the ball, but lets his hands and wrists go, lifting gorgeously over extra cover for six!

Junaid Siddiqui returns with his leg breaks

Heyliger to Babar Azam, OUT

Gone! Babar falls to the delivery that nips away on the fourth stump line - the same one he's had trouble with throughout this knock. Tries to just guide down to third but can't get the right connection. Babar is furious and smashes his bat on the ground in disgust!

Ouchie! Babar smacks the ball into his front knee after running down and trying to pull a short ball away. Shake it off skipper...
