David Hussey's golden season continued today when he was selected to make his first-class debut for the Victorian Bushrangers in tomorrow's Pura Cup match against the NSW Blues. Joining Hussey in the side are Hawthorn-Monash University wicketkeeper Peter Roach and Frankston Peninsula's Matthew Mott, who was a late replacement for the injured Matthew Elliott.
Hussey, who on Friday night scorched 35 off 27 balls in his ING Cup debut, was ecstatic upon hearing the news. "It's a great challenge to come into the side for such an important match. I feel I'm as well prepared as I could be, now I'm just looking forward to getting out there".
Roach replaces Darren Berry who still has a match to serve of his two game suspension imposed last week.
